Condo Connection

It was a quiet month at the Club Villas Condos in Lake Padgett East in Land O Lakes, Florida, our hometown, right on the edge of the Big Cypress Swamp. I think the largest violation of the month occurred when one of our neighbors left their trash can out next to the road for two days after trash pick up. It was communicated, in due form, to the offending party that this was an egregious error that will not be tolerated. Future violations will result in the offender being pilloried for a yet to be determined time in the public square.

At our last board meeting, your board voted on making the following improvements:

Trees needing trimmed will be trimmed.
Some sod will be placed in some of the bare areas
A drip system will be installed in the planted areas which should alleviate some of the problems we have had with the irrigation system causing stains on our buildings.

All of the above recommendations came to your board through your landscaping committee which has been doing a fantastic job since the very beginning. We owe everyone on that committee a big Club Villas “Thank You” for a job well done. You are awesome. All of you.

There will be no December meeting and the Annual Meeting will be held in January. You will receive a letter regarding the Annual Meeting. Like the Marine Corps, we are looking for a few good persons. If you have ever thought about getting more involved in your Community, this might be the perfect time to offer your services.

So, I will take this opportunity to wish everyone a very, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May it be your best yet. Please remember to say a prayer for those serving in our military around the world keeping us safe.
